The hot summer months are full of sunshine and little rain. We may love the weather, but its not always best for our plants. Make sure you are educated on the signs of heat stressed plants. Just like people, plants can become dehydrated and have too much sun. Three signs to look out for are:

1. Wilted foliage and/or flower

2. Soil at base of plant is bone dry (make sure to check an inch or two deep)

3. Discolored foliage (may look crunchy brown)

If these signs are noticed please make sure to water the plants immediately! Some plants may need water twice a day. See pictures below for examples of heat stressed plants.
