Visit To The Chicago Botanic Garden-Wildlife

Yesterday Sharon and I (Ashley) took a trip to Glencoe, IL to see the fall displays at the Chicago Botanic Garden.  For anyone who has not been to the Chicago Botanic Garden, it is 385 acres consisting of 26 gardens and four natural areas.  Not to worry there is plenty still in bloom at this time of the year and of course there are Mums and other fall décor to see.  Take a look at some of the amazing wildlife pictures we captured as we explored the gardens.  I found out that the Chicago Botanic Garden has a photography contest this fall.  Please share your thoughts on which photo I should enter!

I was able to quickly grab the zoom lens to catch this beautiful butterfly A Yellow Finch munching on the seeds of the Purple Coneflower Yellow Finch balancing on a single stem of the Purple Coneflower Yellow Finch in the garden Honey Bee hives in the apple orchard Hummingbird drinking nectar. Can't believe this little guy was so comfortable with me snapping pictures of him. Bumble bee collecting pollen
